Brick slips are thin, lightweight pieces of brick or brick-like material that are designed to mimic the appearance of traditional brickwork. They are typically used as a cladding material to cover and decorate walls, both indoors and outdoors. Brick slips are available in various sizes and shapes, and they come in different colours and textures to imitate the look of different types of bricks.
These slips are manufactured by cutting or slicing regular bricks to a thinner thickness, usually ranging from 15 to 25 millimeters. They offer a more flexible and versatile option compared to full-sized bricks, allowing for easier installation and application in various settings.
Brick slips are often used in renovation and remodeling projects to give walls a fresh, brick-like appearance without the need for extensive construction work. They can adhere directly to existing surfaces, such as concrete, plasterboard, or insulation panels, using specialized adhesives or mortar. Once installed, brick slips provide a realistic brick aesthetic while offering benefits such as reduced weight, improved insulation, and ease of maintenance.
